In the automotive industry, engine crankshaft and camshaft polishing is typically completed using grinding and polishing machines. After initial polishing with CBN grinding wheels, the surface roughness usually achieves Ra < 0.4. Depending on your specific polishing requirements, you can select the appropriate grit abrasives for further polishing on a polishing machine.

• For achieving a surface roughness of Ra < 0.2, you can use our XYT30 lapping film to obtain the desired finish.
• For an even finer finish with a surface roughness of Ra < 0.15, a combination of our XYT30 and XYT15 lapping films will help you achieve the optimal result.
